Rings: 001 [Action, Accidental Video]

[So, Luceti. All's quiet this cold afternoon in the village and in the forest, right?

Well, it probably isn't anymore. In the forest, trees can be seen being bent and the leafless branches sway as something blasts by at high speed. Those with sharp eyes can catch a blue streak dashing along the ground, wind wrapping around it at its point, looking almost like a comet. A comet that leaps over every obstruction in its path without hesitation, and even bounces from tree to tree to clear any gaps... until it comes across one of the streams.

The blue blur doesn't hesitate, and instead begins following the river downstream, running along its surface, sending water flying back behind it in a wave... until it finds its way into the village.

Here the streak slows down enough that the wind surrounding it dissipates. Sonic takes his run through the village slower so he doesn't hit anyone, but he does take needlessly roundabout paths, bounding along the roofs of houses, off the sides of community buildings and along the tops of lamp posts until he makes it into the square. Here he finally stops, kicking up a large cloud of dust as he does so.

He pauses and takes a look around the square, his journal under his arm, unaware it started recording. With a casual scratch of his head, he then shakes his head, his blue quills gently swaying as he does so.]

Yup, definitely looks like I'm not in Kansas anymore. [He shrugs, then runs a finger along one of his wings, somewhat annoyed.] Not that I was there to begin with.

[Sonic then turns to anyone else in the square.]

Hey! Can anyone give me directions outta "Now-I-Have-Wings Land?" Can't really say I'm a fan...

[He loves showing off too, don't you know.]

My husband and I have tried the cave option. It's worked sometimes.

[She points a hoof at him. Oh yeah, she's curious now.]

I'd say there's at least one party every month or two, and usually everyone's invited.

[This does not include private birthday parties, of course.]

And if nothing's going on, you could always drop by the rec center or Cloud Nine.

All right, I show you one of mine, you show me one of yours. Unless you're the one who's bluffing.

[He smiles. He's just teasing, really. But with that, Sonic crouches down and quickly spins into a ball...

And then revs up like an engine and peels out in his spinning form along the beach. He leaves ragged trenches behind him... signs that his quills dug right in and would've done some damage.]

[wannabolt]

[... Impressive. Very impressive. Those quills combined with his speed look very useful.

But Dash is gonna keep her cool, flicking a hoof as she readies herself for her next move.]

That was pretty good, but check this out!

[She crouches down on the ground for a second or two, and then she's up like a rocket, flying higher and higher with her front legs held forward. She starts spinning like a torpedo and blasts through some of the clouds, disappearing for a split second...

THUMP! BAM.

Up above, she slams herself against a few clouds, making a small sprinkling of snow above the beach, and then she resurfaces, looping around a few more clouds to make them spin. Why? Because she's an over achiever and loves showing off.

To finish, she zooms down like a rocket, loops around Sonic, and lands right back where she started.]

So, you can beat the snow or rain out of clouds?

[He's a little impressed, but he's not showing it either. The showy stunts are just that, showy, but it does show she has great control.]

Not too shabby, Dash.

Hey, I can make it rain or snow, clear the sky in a flash, and still have time to hang out.

[While it might not be a wild applause, praise is praise. It fuels her ego, so it's all good.]

I might just do that. Gonna have to find a way to kill time if there's no way to get out of this stupid bubble.

Gardening's not my thing. Takes too much patience, and I'm more of an action girl.

But sports and stunts? I'm totally there.

[Oh, that's it - you're on, Sonic. Kazooie spins fluidly, a perfect midair Wing Whack, and spirals up the side of the roof, flowing back down over it like some kind of gawky dancer suddenly turned almost graceful mid-pirouette.

She moves out of it, shifting into another Leg Spring as she hops up higher, onto an elevated ledge caused by a windowsill, and then practically dives off of the edge, Gliding moments before she hits the ground and swooping up onto the same roof Sonic's on.]

So. Fancy footwork, huh? Gonna take more than that to impress a hero.
